About Us

Who we are

Having been in (and out), and around the craft beer industry since 2013, founder and chief brewer, Paddy, long dreamt of having a brewery to call his own. In 2023, we decided it was time to either do something about it or stop talking about it, so here we are.

Starting on a low volume nanobrew kit, we create small batch beers which allows us to experiment, explore, and develop beers that are full of flavour and don't compromise on quality for the sake of quantity.

Why Trig?

A Trig is often used when referring to 'Triangulation stations' or 'Trig Points' that are located at the highest point of a landscape.

Incorporating our love for hiking the hills with our dog, exploring pastures new, and sharing beers and tall tales on wild nights away are all essential to our brand, hence 'Trig'.

Trig points are shown as a small triangle with a dot in middle on maps and were originally used to accurately determine the shape of the land. Around these points, landscapes fall away creating contour lines that snake and weave their way across our maps and allow us to visualise the lay of the land from a flat piece of paper. These contours feature on the sides of our cans with locations of the trig points subtly noted.
